Threes would have been a good pick too as they do a ton of great beers across all the styles, have a kickass tap room, and use their Greenpoint location to make more of their cans available. They're since brewing better beer, but I'll take All Citra Everything over recent Hyperfocus Citra every day of the week. There are other brewers that seem to make very good product that just aren't my cup of tea. Personally, I like drinking Suarez and Barrier and I don't have any others in NY close. That seems like reason enough to pick them. But the folks at food and lifestyle blog the Thrillist, God bless 'em, did just that. Just going with my gut here, but I doubt there's a NY brewery that has more beer geeks outside of the US fawning. It's always a heady proposition trying to rank the best of anything especially Arizona breweries. I disagree with their opening comment that "Other Half has moved solidly from the young upstart category to certified national beer celebrity status," because I'm assuming that "international" might even state it better.
